The declared store ENGINE (ADR-0050 addendum 2026-09-08): the module URL of a store factory that answers
for the store instead of the toolkit’s own createPgwasmClient.
module is an absolute or origin-relative module URL the engine home can import(). Its default
export — or a named createStore — is the toolkit’s own createStore seam (ADR-0036), unchanged:
(storePath: string, backendOverride?: "memory") => Promise<PgwasmClient>. The module owns everything
this declaration does not carry: its own assets (derivable from import.meta.url; there is no asset
base and there will not be one), its own storage layout under the store path, and its own environment
requirements (a threaded engine that needs a cross-origin-isolated page refuses to construct without
one, loudly, from inside the module).
Nothing in the toolkit knows, names or imports any particular engine — this field is the whole surface.
